As part of this year’s National Science Week and in partnership with CCIWA, Kleenheat and CSBP, the Innovation Institute has launched the WA Innovation Day Schools Challenge. This challenge provides the opportuity for WA school students in both primary and secondary schools, to create an innovation that helps solve a problem within the community.
Schools are encouraged to host their own Innovation Expos on Friday 17 August and then choose the best innovation ideas to represent their school in a State competition.
The top Primary and Seconday school innovation teams will not only win prize money for themselves and their schools but the opportunity to work with industry to bring their innovation idea to a potential commercial reality.
This is the first time such a competition has been hosted for WA schools and it is hoped it becomes an annual event.
